The wonderful part about a nightmare, is that you get to wake up from it in order to escape it.
"I'm sorry. Would you like to talk about our euthanization and cremation packages?" Was in fact, not a nightmare. Today, it became my reality.
"What?!!??!??" I had thought I made this appointment to talk about the different surgical options.
But I was wrong. My hamster, my son Richard Parker, my best friend and soulmate, had cancer. And there was no way we could fix, there was nothing I could do.
... There was no amount of money that would ever be able to take his pain. And the doctor said words that I will never be able to unhear, "If you love him, end it before ALL of his days are BAD days."
F*cking F*CK cancer.
.......
Richard Parker is booked to be euthanized in two days, November 8, at 7:30pm.
1:51pm: inside "Exam Room 8", waiting for Richard Parker's vet.
